How to play Andar Bahar

Andar Bahar is a card game that’s pure chance – there’s no skill involved. One card is dealt face-up and the dealer then deals cards in 2 piles on either side until a card with the same rank (for example a Jack) appears.

One pile is named Andar, and the other is Bandar. The aim of the game is to bet on which of the piles you think will match the house card first. At 0.9 to 1, the payout odds for the Andar pile are slightly lower than the 1 to 1 odds for Bahar, because Andar is always dealt first.

As well as the simple choice of Andar or Bahar bets, you can also place side bets on whether one of the 2 sides wins after 1 card, how many cards will be dealt to both sides before the game ends, and whether a poker hand (e.g. flush or straight) will be completed by the first 3 cards.
