Your goal is simply to beat the dealer’s hand. Remember, Aces can be a 1 or 11.



Face cards are a 10, and number cards are their value.



Blackjack (Ace + 10) beats other hands that add up to 21.



The dealer draws cards until they make 17 or more.


Hit Blackjack itself and your bet is paid out at 3 to 2 odds, but you tie if the dealer has BJ too.


If your hand score is higher than the dealer (or they bust), your bet is paid at 1 to 1 odds.



If you go over 21, you bust and lose your bet.


If you and the dealer tie, your stake is returned – it’s called a push.
